Spectacular stemware made by Dorflinger Glass Co. sometime between 1905 and 1921. Probably decorated by Honesdale as they have been known to use this same type of flower & vine gilt pattern. These are decorated with a thick gold cornflower decorative band, they also have a thin parallel gold band below, and around the glass base or foot. The edge of the rim also has gilt [mostly worn]. The inside of each bowl is ribbed or paneled. The smaller cordial glass has 20 panels, the bigger glasses have 11 panels. These panels or "ribs" can only be felt from the inside, as the outer side is smooth. Tapped lightly, they ring beautifully. |
